Use only the provided pellets for fuel.
Never use any other sort of fuel - No wood, paper, or fluid.
Never toss ANYTHING into the burner by hand.

CLOSE the hopper lid! The stove will not start with it open.
Firmly PUSH the ON/OFF button on the Control Board
the fan starts and the Power LED lights up green.
NOTE: the ON/OFF button can be difficult to see; it feels like a slight bulge on the control board, down at the lower right corner, above the St.Croix logo.
ON/OFF Switch
The Pellet Stove takes 10 to 20 minutes for the stove to start up. During this time various operations happen. Pellets will drop into the burn pot, fans come on. When full temperature is reached the fans will blow clean, hot air into the room from vents at the top.
You can adjust the heat level by firmly pressing the HEAT LEVEL arrows up or down. Level 2 will keep the entire house nicely overnight in 25°f weather.
The fire should burn cleanly. If it seems to smoke, the TRIM can be adjusted. The better the the fire burns, the cleaner the glass stays.
Opening hopper door to feed pellets can shut the system down - a safety feature. A small black switch inside on the right side controls this. It's wise to try to hold the switch down when reloading. If it shuts down it should restart within 10 minutes.
If you do the stove will shut off but it may also blow the breaker, too. The breaker box is in the guest bedroom behind the door. The breaker is the top blue one.
A full hopper at Level 1 or 2 should easily last through the night.
Shutting the Unit Off
Press the On/Off switch once firmly; the lights will go off and the fire will go out in a few minutes. Fans will continue to run for at least 10 minutes before completely shutting down.
